Neck Tattoo

A man who had a tattoo of his name and birth date on his neck was caught on CCTV breaking into a parked surveillance car. The police placed the car in a parking lot with a satellite navigation system as bait for thieves to break into. From the CCTV images, the police used the details to track down and convict Aaron Evans, 21 of the offence. Police said the camera clearly captured footage of a tattoo on the back of the offender’s neck reading: “Evans 19.9.87.”

Evans pleaded guilty to the theft and was sentenced to seven months in jail.
