Tribal Dragon Tattoo

tribal_dragon_tattoo

Tribal dragon tattoos are symbolic of the qualities a person wishes to express through the art work image engraved on the skin. I would say that tribal dragon tattoos account for around 30% of my tattoo work, which is a big portion!

Most of my clients have found success getting the tribal dragon tattoo they want, from the ‘Chopper Tattoo’ dragon collection. Its very good value and you can choose the cheaper option and save $$ if your just after a single pattern. I myself have two slightly modified Chopper Dragons on my back, and am very pleased with them!

Chopper Tattoo
Best Tattoo Gallery
BEST Dragon Tattoo Gallery – Chopper Tattoo Average User Rating: 5 Star

Chopper Tattoo is a HUGE, searchable gallery of Tattoo designs, that users can download and modify to their liking. Many more get added all the time. The one time fee covers all downloads (instead of per item), which makes it amazing value. And best of all, you can pay a smaller fee ($19.95) to get 30-day access, rather than the unlimited-access $39.99 fee. Chopper Tatto is by far the best option for your next (or first!) Tattoo. I have Chopper Tattoos on my own body, so what better testimonial can I put forward!

Amazing Tattoos here!
# 3 Tattoo Gallery - ‘The Tattoo Designs’ Average User Rating: 4 Star

This top-notch Tattoo gallery was one I desperatly wanted to rate higher, as its quite flash and has some amazingly nice Tattoos. However, the searchability and range let it down a little, which is why I placed it third. Try Chopper out first, and if you are still stuck without a beauty (which I wouldnt believe!) give ‘The Tattoo Designs’ a whirl. You might eventually strike gold here…

Tattoo Fever
Awesome unique designs
# 4 Tattoo Gallery – Tattoo Fever Average User Rating: 4 Star

Tattoo Fever is an up and coming star in the tattoo gallery world, and mark my words, it will be world class given some more time! What made me rate it fourth here, is that it did not have the number of designs to warrant beating aside the others. Its still had some awesome, unique content, and was a breeze to browse through! Keep your eyes peeled…this is one to watch!

History of Tribal Dragon Tattoos:

Split into regions the Eastern and Western dragons carry separate meanings and their illustrations are also different. The Eastern (Chinese) dragon symbolizes wisdom, kindness and is the good willed dragon of the group. The Western (European) dragons are the fire breathers and are usually portrayed as powerful, evil, mean and guarding lots of gold. There are many more designs and meanings depending on which country you live in. Today the Welsh flag still carries the picture of the Western design in the middle of it due to the many historical meanings it symbilized.

Tribal dragon tattoos are eye catching works of art. The complexity of the mythical creature’s body, head and wings allows for some breathtaking designs that will have people asking questions about the beauty of it. Dragon tattoos were more common among Asian communities due to the tradition of dragon worship at events like Chinese New Year. Now the Western dragon motifs are fast becoming one of the more popular tattoo designs amongst the Europeans and Americans since artists find more ways of displaying it on the body. It has also been categorized under the tribal tattoo umbrella due to its long flowing features and patterns of lines and curves that blend together to create an art form.

Choosing a Tribal dragon tattoo is a difficult choice due to the many hundreds of beautiful designs that are around. Also the symbolic meaning that comes with the many designs may need to be a consideration when choosing one. If you are a gentle, intelligent and kind person but you have a fire breathing murderous dragon then that might look like a mismatch in the eyes of the viewer. Like the Chinese people, they are affectionately known as the descendents of the dragon because the dragon is seen as intelligent, kind and full of good will.

Tribal dragon tattoos are well suited for the entire body especially the back where there is more space for the artist to show great detail. These tattoos are commonly wrapped around the body, hugging the curves and contours. My favourite though is on the arm where the tail wraps around the bicep to give that American Indian tribal armband warrior appeal – an amazing look!
